Serving Fostoria for 40+ Years Rebuilding Stronger Together

We Are Rebuilding — And We Need Your Help

In 2024, a structural failure forced the Sharing Kitchen of Fostoria to close its doors for the first time in over 40 years. The building at 321 N. Main St. where more than 625,000 warm meals had been served to our neighbors, was condemned and has since been safely demolished.

But the mission isn't gone. It's rebuilding.

Architectural plans for a brand-new, fully accessible purpose built facility are in development, designed by RCM Architects in Findlay. The new Sharing Kitchen will be built on the same site at 321 N. Main St. — where our guests can still walk from home, just as they always have.

The total project cost is $900,866. We have substantial reserves thanks to decades of careful stewardship, and we've already secured $600,000 in donations. But we still need approximately $300,000 to close the gap and break ground.

Construction is targeted to begin Spring 2027. When the doors open, we will resume serving warm, nutritious meals at least three days a week for free, no questions asked, to anyone in our community who needs one.

We've served this community for 40 years. With your help, we'll serve it for 40 more.
